One Pot Weeknight Penne Pasta with Sausage

Penne pasta with sausage, vegetables, and a creamy sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 lbs Penne pasta
  • 1 lbs Hot Italian sausage If using links take out of casing
  • 1 ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp Salt optional
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • 1/2 ea Yellow or white onion
  • 4 ea Garlic cloves peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan grated
  • 2 cups Chopped spinach

Instructions

  • Cook Pasta according to package directions, save 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  • Brown sausage and then add chopped onion and cook until soften.
  • Add chopped spinach and cook until wilted and add garlic and spices
  • Add cream and pasta heat until warmed then add parmesan and heat until thickened. Serve and enjoy.
